With the recommendation and support of Shivaami, Prism Life Sciences Ltd switched to Zimbra Basic & Google Workspace Business Starter in April 2023.

Shivaami guided Prism Life Sciences Ltd through a comprehensive migration process. The project management group from Shivaami conducted the planning meetings, identified the performance criteria, and selected the starting set of Google Workspace products & features whilst handling the issues as they arise. The deployment services consisted of

  • Hybrid setup between Google and Zimbra: Keeping Google as primary email service. We have set up host connectors to Zimbra and the emails are flowing through with a secured connection.
  • Migrated Email, Calendar, Contact, Onedrive & Sharepoint document library with the Cloud Migrate Beta tool.
  • Device Management: Guided the client to understand the list of devices configured with corporate ids.

The project was kicked off. Changes were made to the DNS settings, tested the network access to Google Workspace, desired settings were introduced to Google Workspace, & user data was migrated to Google Workspace & Zimbra using the DMS Migration tool.


Within 3 days, Prism Life Sciences Ltd had successfully completed the Hybrid setup between Google Workspace and Zimbra platform, and based on the feedback the stakeholders/employees were satisfied. The users had the best possible experience with Zimbra & Google Workspace with familiar emails, contacts, calendars & Google Drive.

With Google Workspace, spam is now kept to a minimum with the appropriate spam filters.

Enabling advanced device management policy and customer control corporate data, Drive and the Compliance settings allowed the internal IT team to control Gmail set-up accounts.

The IT team now has more time to devote to business continuity and other compliance. They believe any problems can be resolved efficiently.

The ease of use and reliability provided by Google’s cloud-based communication & collaboration tool replaced the earlier challenges and frustrations caused by their old system.
