Dhani Services Ltd is a consumer business that provides digital healthcare and digital transactional finance to its consumers through its app Dhani.

Growing from a personal finance company to currently delivering a broad range of solutions in both healthcare and financial services, the company has always addressed the country's current needs in order to build products that are fit for today and geared for tomorrow.

On the healthcare front, Dhani provides its customers with top-of-the-class healthcare access over instant video calls with doctors. Customers need not worry about single consultations, but comprehensive medical care available on a subscription basis over the click of a button. Dhani Doctor is supplemented with Dhani Medicines – which is enabled to provide customers with quality yet affordable medicines delivered at their doorstep.

Challenges

The client had a on-prem license for Microsoft Exchange 2010 email service. The storage is tough to manage for an on-prem-licensed user. To avoid email delivery failure, end-user support deletes old emails on a regular basis. MS Exchange 2010 lacks MDM, Drive, Vault, IP restriction for login, malware protection, security dashboard, and other compliance options. They were procured add-on services.

Solution

With the recommendation and support of Shivaami Cloud Services Pvt.Ltd, Dhani Services Ltd made the switch to Google Workspace Enterprise Plus on 24-September-2021.

Shivaami guided Dhani Services Ltd through a comprehensive migration process. The project management group from Shivaami conducted the planning meetings, identified the performance criteria, selected the starting set of Google Workspace products & features whilst handling the issues as they arise. The deployment services consisted of

  • Provisioning Google Workspace Account.
  • Migrated Email, Calendar, and Contact with the Google Migrate Beta tool.
  • Advance Mobile Device Management.
  • Policy implementation.
  • CAA policy implementation.
  • SSO/SAML/LDAP integration.
  • OCR and Vault are enabled to retain the data for an indefinite period.
  • Online training sessions and short videos provided.
  • Emailers, tips, and tricks provided to the customer to increase the GW adoption rate.
  • Document Collaboration using Google Docs and Drive.
  • File storage and File sharing using Google Drive.
  • Change Management online workshop.

The project was kicked off. Changes were made to the DNS settings, tested the network access to Google Workspace, desired settings were introduced to Google Workspace, & user data was migrated to Workspace using the google Migrate Beta tool.

Result

Within 30 days, Dhani Services Ltd had successfully completed the data migration process for all of its users in the Google Workspace platform and based on the feedback the stakeholders/employees were very satisfied. The users had the best possible experience with Google Workspace with familiar emails, contacts, calendars & google drive.

With Google Workspace, spam is now kept to a minimum with the appropriate spam filters.

Enabling advanced device management policy and customer controlling the corporate data, Drive, and the Compliance settings allowed the internal IT team to control Gmail set up accounts. The IT team now has more time to devote to business continuity and other compliance. They believe any problems can be resolved efficiently. The ease-of-use and reliability provided by Google’s cloud-based communication & collaboration tool replaced the earlier challenges and frustrations caused by their old system.
